Welcome To Good Karma Kid!!!

I used to blog just about poker, but recently decided to write about everything of interest to me. I love to travel, enjoy good food & restaurants, drink some wine, and take pictures of my adventures. I got my nickname about 10 years ago when I used to play a lot of poker in Washington State, and guys used to tell me that “I was Lucky.” I always replied “I’m Not Lucky, I Have Good Karma” and a poker friend starting calling me “The Good Karma Kid”. Hope you enjoy the blog, if you like a particular article make sure to leave a comment :)

If you write a Poker Blog, PokerStars is throwing a nice freeroll. I registered today, should be easy pickings, everyone knows bloggers are the 2nd worst players, right behind dealers ;), just kidding.

Today’s Poker Lesson: Never pass up free money, if it’s not worth your time to play the freeroll, have a friend play for you. You never know what can happen, and you might get some value out of people thinking you have a crazy style.

On Saturday, October 8th, Party Poker launched a new software platform exclusively for Party Poker players. Players logged on from Empire Poker, EuroBet, Multi-Poker, or Intertops will no longer be able to share tables with Party Poker Players. The “skins” will continue to use the old Party Poker software and they will share players amongst themselves. Currently Party is getting about 8 times as much action. My prediction is that the skins won’t last long.

So what does this mean to me? If you are casual recreational pretty much nothing. Just continue to play on Party Poker where the games are good. If you are a semi-pro or professional poker player who was playing on Empire, EuroBet, or another skin to get some special bonus, then you have to figure out how to get back on to the main Party Poker Network and still get the same VIP treatment you are accustomed to. I would recommend using the Party Poker Signup Bonus Code “VIPParty”. The poker site can act as a liaison between the players and Party Poker’s VIP department to ensure that you get the maximum incentives and rewards allowable under Party Poker’s NO Rake Back Policy.

Today’s Poker Lesson: Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. This holds true with life, finance, and also poker. You should always have a backup plan for any worst case scenario type of event.

It seems I have forgotten about my Poker Blog :(

I’m back on track and will be updating my poker blog at least twice a week, at least that’s the goal :)

The GoodKarmaKid

I normally post a daily lesson, but today I have decided a quote would be more applicable.

Today’s Quote: “Procrastination is the bad habit of putting of until the day after tomorrow what should have been done the day before yesterday.”
